Maria (Spayed)'s Story...
"Maria" is a beautiful 3-year old female Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on August 29, 2016 after a Good Samaritan found her on County Road 3 in Washington County Ohio. "Maria" has a brown/brindle-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a very pretty face with short floppy ears and a dusting of white on her muzzle. This young lady appears to have given birth to a litter of puppies in her recent past, and hopefully they are weaned and no longer dependent upon their mother for survival :( "Maria" was apprehensive about leaving the security of her kennel and really depended upon one of our young kennel techs to give her courage to walk outdoors for glamour photos (and she rewarded her with hugs and lots of doggie kisses afterwards :) "Maria" weighs 50.4 lbs. She is now available for adoption since she was not reclaimed. "Maria" has been spayed and has also been given rabies vaccine

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maria (Spayed), a Marietta Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
