My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joey (fka Jolene) is a handsome 3-year old male kitty who was left at HSOV on March 7, 2024. The individual(s) who brought him to our shelter did not provide any information about Joey as to where he was found (or if he might have been an owner surrender).

Joey has a black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face with golden eyes, a pink/black nose, and long white whiskers.

This good-looking guy appears to have a friendly disposition. It breaks our hearts to see how frightened and confused he is at the moment, but we know that within a few weeks he will respond to the compassionate care from our HSOV Kennel Techs and his sweet personality will emerge. Joey seems to get along with other cats in nearby cages.

Joey was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on March 7, 2024. He weighed 9.5 lbs that day.

Since Joey (fka Jolene) was not reclaimed, we took her to a spay/neuter clinic on March 19, 2024 to have her spayed .. But it turned out that a name change was in order when she came back (smile) since "Jolene" was already neutered. Joey weighed 9 lbs that day and was given rabies vaccine.

Joey is ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue where he will once again be given the care and love that he truly deserves.

Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

UPDATE: Joey is currently at the WeLovPets store in Lafayette Plaza, Marietta Ohio (May 2024) where he is available for adoption through the HSOV. Please stop by WeLovPets to meet Joey in purrson.
