Hi! I’m Sunshine. I'm a Lucky One, but I already knew I was. Even before I was rescued, I knew that people were okay. I had made friends with the person who rescued us by climbing up on him and sitting on his shoulder! I even showed him where we all hid when we were scared. So even though we were labeled feral and life was scary and I didn’t like it, I always knew we would be rescued. This man finally did rescue us and take us to our current foster home, which is wonderful.

Me? I’m a black kitten with lighter marbling on my side which makes me look really cool. Of course, the light has to be just right to see it, but it is there! My foster Mom says it is very unusual and I am a very special kitty. I have always been an upbeat kitten looking at the positive side of everything and now even more so! So why shouldn’t I have a special coat?

Playing is great fun! I do it as much as possible! See that mouse? I will grab it and run around the house with it. Oh, see my brother; I am going to….POUNCE on him! Giggle. I tear up and down the hall with Uncle Indy. I do tend to live in the moment and just enjoy life now that I am safe and sound. Playing, eating, and sleeping... this is the life we should have.

I do like to curl up on my foster Dad during the day after I am all tuckered out. I also like to sit on his lap in the morning and get my morning loving before getting into the early round of wrestling. If he’s not around, I will just find a nice spot and grab a nap before heading into another round of playing. When my foster Mom gets home, I always want some loving from her before we play. She knows right where to scratch me!

After the sun has gone down, and I am tired, I go climb into the big comfy bed with a special blanket just for me and my siblings. We hunker down for the night purring, kneading, and above all, knowing we are safe.

I do like it here, but I know it is now time to find a forever home. My foster parents have loved me, taken care of me, but it’s time for me to find my own family and forever home. Could you love a little optimistic kitty like me? I’m waiting for you right here.

Sunshine is aptly named for always keeping her joyful and hopeful attitude no matter what. She welcomes the chance to go to a new home with a loving adopter where she can work her magic on you. One of the four Lucky One, Sunshine would love to go home with one of her siblings Pooh Bear, Pearl, or Rocky.

She will come to you vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed.

Sunshine is fostered in Reno, NV.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
