Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tillie is a goofy, affectionate girl, whose whole body wiggles when she's excited. There is never a shortage of puppy kisses with her. When Tillie walks into a room, she thinks everyone should pet her and pay attention to her; when they do, she leans in and soaks up every minute of it. She enjoys playing/chasing/wrestling with other dogs, and has the time of her life at the dog park. She thinks walks are pretty great, too, especially the squirrels! Chewing on bones or stuffed toys is another favorite activity of Tillie's, and she can entertain herself for long stretches.
After playtime/walks, Tillie loves nothing more than sleeping in a warm, soft bed, snuggled up to her foster mom and/or canine foster sisters. She is crated when foster mom is at work, and sleeps in foster mom's bed at night. She is a little particular about where she goes to the bathroom, and prefers to potty in a corner of the yard rather than on leashed walks. Her interest in squirrels/critters extends to cats and chickens, so she'll probably do best in a home without either...she just can't help how fascinating they are.
Tillie is an all around great girl, whose "sad eyes" in pictures belie her silly, sweet personality. She will make a great addition to one lucky family! She is estimated to be 11 months old and weighs about 35 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday October 29, 2016, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
