Manderine's Story...
This beautiful young lady is Manderine, a 2 1/2 year old orange tabby that would love to meet you and be whisked away to a wonderful home of her own. Manderine came to us from our Newark facility when she was found as a stray. This sweet and outgoing girl began making friends right away and is hoping to meet that special someone that will give her the happy life that she deserves. Manderine is in our free-roaming area where she spends her days hanging out with the other cats, playing, and having a good time. She is a bit over-ambitious in making friends with other cats and although she likes them very much, she feels that grabbing a cat and immediately grooming them is the way to become friends. Most cats don't mind her forwardness but some cats may be taken back by her a little, so she will need a home with a cat that is not very dominant. She positively loves people and bring so much joy to a good family that will welcome her home with open arms. File#26231 5/21/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Manderine, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
