Mia is 7 pounds of fun! She is a beautiful 2 year-old reddish colored Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix who came into rescue when her new owner could no longer care for her due to a serious illness. Mia is a little love and is a joy to have around. She is very playful with other dogs, loves to walk no matter what the weather is, and especially likes the snow. She can jump quite high and likes to perch on the back of the sofa to look out the window. At home, Mia loves to play with her toys or cuddle next to you on the couch. She is a true companion dog, always wanting to be with her family. She is a good eater and loves treats and chew bones when she comes in from outside. She sleeps very soundly at night curled up right next to her foster mom and one of her Shih Tzu foster sisters. Mia walks well on a leash and would like her new family to take her on a long walk at least twice a day (not in the really cold weather though)! Mia needs a consistent routine and her new owner should be able to be home with her most of the day. Mia is used to living with another dog and because of her small size, would probably be okay with older, respectful children. She would like it if her new family has a small sized companion dog, although Mia could be the only dog.
Mia is healthy, spayed, and current on vaccinations, microchipped and is on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $370.00 plus $26.92 for a total of $396.92. Her foster mom and dad would like her adopter to live in or near the Twin Cities so they can visit once in a while, and would appreciate if her new family would attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September every year.
