Jacques Cousteau's Story...
Hi folks, I’m Jacques Cousteau, but you can call me Jacques. I’m sure I don’t need to explain who I’m named after, but I will say that if you have an aquarium or even a gold fish bowl that needs exploring, I’m your kitten! Like my brothers and sister, I have a unique toe arrangement: five on each front paw, but one extra on one of my rear paws and two extra on the other! My rear paws will work like flippers when I need to make those deep dives into the aquarium! When I’m not exploring the ocean floor, my favorite thing to do is to be with my people. If anyone even looks like they are coming near my kennel, I run to the front, squeaking for attention and purring up a storm. If you would like to meet me, come to Helping PAWS.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacques Cousteau, a Washburn Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Washburn, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Washburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
