Tula's Story...
Tula, about 4 yrs old and 6 lbs, is very timid at the moment, but is starting to come out of her shell. She is very sweet and thinks her foster dad is her savior. She bonds well when shown a lot of love and affection. She loves to go on walks, but does not know quite what to do. She has a problem eating in front of other dogs. She may have been bullied before and that may be the reason she is so skinny. She does eat if taken somewhere by herself where she feels safe. She cuddles with her foster parents at night, and wakes them up when she needs to go to the potty. She seems to be okay with going on pee pad or outside. If you are interested in meeting Tula, please fill out an application found at www.RescueAChi.com and we will give you a call.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tula, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
