Facts about Tula

  • Breed: Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Tula, about 4 yrs old and 6 lbs, is very timid at the moment, but is starting to come out of her shell. She is very sweet and thinks her foster dad is her savior. She bonds well when shown a lot of love and affection. She loves to go on walks, but does not know quite what to do. She has a problem eating in front of other dogs. She may have been bullied before and that may be the reason she is so skinny. She does eat if taken somewhere by herself where she feels safe. She cuddles with her foster parents at night, and wakes them up when she needs to go to the potty. She seems to be okay with going on pee pad or outside. If you are interested in meeting Tula, please fill out an application found at and we will give you a call.

About Chihuahua Rescue of San Diego

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a rescue consisting of an all volunteer organization where all of our dogs are in private homes everyday. We do not have a shelter and our dogs are not kept in cages. Our dogs are from county animals shelters or from previous owners that are no longer able to care for their dog. All of our dogs are started on housebreaking, however, we do not guarantee that they will be housebroken. We offer education on how to housebreak a dog as well as other information on different situations. Every dog is spayed or neutered, current on shots, dewormed, frontline for fleas and ticks. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!!!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We often bring our dogs to the Chihuahua Meetups held at Capehart Park.

Our Adoption Process...

An application is required prior to visiting a dog.
This enables us to pick the dog we feel is best for your situation.
