Facts about Vince

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue (Mostly)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Medium
Vince doesn't ask for much of anything. Wet food twice a day. A cozy place to sleep. Some pets. Companionship. An open window.

Vince appreciates the small things in life because he's had it tough. He was badly neglected and came to us with matted fur, hungry, and with a terrible jaw infection. Months later he's looking dapper with a Lion's cut, and his infection has been successfully treated, leaving only a bump on his chin. And now he's ready for a forever home. Vince would be happiest as an only cat, and he will be your loyal best buddy. Want someone to watch a Red Sox game with? Vince will be on the couch next to you. Need to rant about your boss? Vince is all ears. One look into his huge yellow eyes and you know he's as sad as you are when the Yankees win; and he agrees with you that your boss is a jerk. And you can't help but love him a little more for opening his heart to you.

Vince the Cat doesn’t ask for much of anything. And somehow, that makes you want to give him everything.

Do you have a giving heart with room for Vince?

About Broken Tail Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Mission Statement:

Broken Tail Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit foster-based rescue organization dedicated to the rescue of unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats in urgent need. We work closely with local animal controls, animal shelters and rescue groups to ensure the placement of these forgotten animals. We will not discriminate on basis of health, age, or breed and will only consider humane euthanasia in cases of aggression or for quality-of-life due to untreatable medical conditions.

Our animals are vet examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered as needed and receive any and all medical treatment necessary prior to being placed into carefully screened permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our pets for adoption are in foster homes. You must fill out an adoption application before being considered for adoption. Once your application is received, the foster parent will contact you to discuss whether the animal would be a good fit for your home and set up a meet between your family and the pet.

We also house several cats in our adoption center at the Framingham,Cambridge, and Everett PetSmart stores. Stop by to play with them anytime the store is open!

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an adoption application; a meet-and-greet between the prospective adopters, the dog, and the foster family; vet and personal reference checks; and a home visit.

Adopters must be at least 21 years of age.

Our adoption donation is generally between $300 - $400 for most adult dogs and is decided on a case-by-case basis. Adoption donations help defray the cost of transportation, care, and medical treatment.

Our adoption donation for cats and kittens varies by age.

Kitten under 6 months: $200
Cats 6 months – 4 yrs: $125
Cats 5 yrs – 9 yrs: $100
Senior (10+ years) or special needs cats: $75
Exotic and Declawed cats: $150
