Peanut's Story...
Peanut was rescued from a kill shelter in Kentucky where she was left -- at 8 years old --when her owners moved out of state. Peanut does live with other dogs in her foster home, but we think she would be happiest as an only dog. She is a senior girl and seems like she would enjoy most living with someone who would like to give all of their attention to her alone. And after her sad history of being dumped by her former family, we think it is especially important to find Peanut the type of home where she will be happiest she's ever been.

If you would like to give Quenn a home, please visit our website: www.jojosdoghouse.com and download an application, or email jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you an application. Adoption fee is $150, which includes spay, heart worm and parasite prevention, up-to-date vaccinations and microchip with lifetime registration. Thanks for choosing adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Gallatin Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Gallatin, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Gallatin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gallatin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gallatin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gallatin paves the way for another one to be saved.
