My origin is a mystery, I have short legs and a medium body and funny looking ears, but I am a happy, happy dog and would love a forever home. Hi, my name is Maria and I am 8 years old and full of vinegar. I love to run, but I also enjoy walking with you and get so excited when I see my leash. I also love the kids swimming pool at my foster's house and would probably like to get in a pond, creek or lake. My owner was very sad to give me up, but due to work schedule changing and having to travel my owner thought it best that I have a new home where I would not in in a boarding kennel more than I was at home, I was an only dog and so I am use to being by myself. I do get along with most dogs but sometimes I can come across like an "only child" and want my way and I do not like cats. I am current on shots, on heartworm preventive, and microchipped. I am a good rider and crate trained and house trained. You can find an application and terms of adoption at www.dfwcollierescue.org. There is an adoption fee and small fee to register my microchip. Before I can come live with you DFW Collie Rescue will do a home visit and check your references. So why waste time, put the peddle to metal and get that application filled out today. You may call or text 214-668-5794 if you wish to get more info.

About DFW Collie Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

DFW Collie Rescue was founded by Carolyn Edgmon in 2005 with a mission of rescuing collies from the Dallas/ Ft. Worth, Tx. area. Over the years collies from all parts of Texas and Oklahoma have been rescued and adopted. We are a small organization adopting around 25 collies a year and yet since 2005 over 225 collie and collie mixes have been adopted to new forever homes. Carolyn showed and raised collies for over 25 years and has an extensive knowledge of the collies. Foster homes are always needed and must be approved the same as an adopter. Once approved, a foster must agree to the terms of the foster home agreement. Any expenses for the collie in a foster home are paid for by DFW Collie Rescue. Donations are always needed to help pay expenses such as vetting, food, heartworm preventive, etc. Donations may be made via PayPal on our website www.dfwcollierescue.org. 100% of a donation goes for expenses.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Available collies are located 25 miles north of Stephenville, Tx. (about 50 miles southwest of Ft. Worth, Tx.) An appointment may be made to come and visit with the collies.

Our Adoption Process...

Application with reference checks and home visit required for approval. A fenced in yard is also required for approval. A contract between DFW Collie Rescue and the new adopter is required with an adoption fee and small fee to register the collie's microchip. Adoption fees range from $200 -$400.
