My story

My origin is a mystery, I have short legs and a medium body and funny looking ears, but I am a happy, happy dog and would love a forever home. Hi, my name is Maria and I am 9 years old and full of pep and vinegar. I love to run, but I also enjoy walking with you and get so excited when I see my leash. I also love the kids swimming pool at my foster's house and would probably like to get in a pond, creek or lake. My owner was very sad to give me up, but due to a changing work schedule and having to travel my owner thought it best that I have a new home where I would not be in a boarding kennel more than I was at home, I was an only dog and so I am use to being by myself. I do get along with most dogs but sometimes I can come across like an "only child" and want my way and I do not like cats. I am current on shots, on heartworm preventive, and microchipped. I am a good rider, crate trained and house trained and know how to use a doggie door. You can find an application and terms of adoption at www.dfwcollierescue.org. There is an adoption fee and small fee to register my microchip. Before I can come live with you DFW Collie Rescue will do a home visit and check your references.
