Cosmo (Neutered)'s Story...
"Cosmo" is a darling male kitten who was surrendered by his owner on June 16, 2016 along with his companions (Caleb, Camille, Cassidy, Cheyenne, and Courtney) who are most like his siblings/relatives. "Cosmo" was approximately 3-months old when he came to our shelter. "Cosmo" has a black-and-white short smooth coat which is beautifully marked, a long tail, and a handsome face with a black beauty mark on his cute pink nose :) This little guy is the ultimate playboy and has a terrific outgoing personality! He is sharing a large tower in our Jungle Room with his five best friends, and they are having a blast :) "Cosmo" will be available for adoption as soon as he is neutered. He was given vaccinations and wormer on August 17, 2016. "Cosmo" weighed 5.6 lbs. on that date. He is available for foster/rescue at any time. Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters. UPDATE: "Cosmo" was given rabies vaccine on August 25, 2016 and was neutered on September 14, 2016. He weighed 7.3 lbs. on that date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
