A little information about Enzo...
Hi! My name is Enzo and me and my brothers and sisters Ean, Emmie, and Erin found ourselves in need of a home in a very rural Georgia county shelter; unfortunately, even though we are young and cute (at least according to foster mom (FM)), we're told it was no guarantee that we would be able to get out of that scary place called an animal shelter and find one. The shelter folks told FM that our mom was a border collie but they had no idea on who our father was :( FM asked if we wanted to go on an adventure to find a home and being young we said sure! We are between 14-16 weeks old and I weigh 23lbs as of September 4th (I'm a growing boy so will be a little bigger come Adoption event time) so FM thinks I will probably be a pretty big boy when I grow up. FM says to tell you I'm a little shy but it helps when you have the support of everyone else around so if you get to meet me and my brothers and sisters all together, I will come up to you; but if I'm alone, I will be a little shy when you first meet me . . . but don't worry, as soon as I know you're safe I would love to cuddle and give you a kiss. Event information....
We are open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm. All final decisions are made by the rescues not Homeward Bound volunteers. If you are interested in this dog or any of our dogs please go to www.homewardboundct.org (copy and paste in browser window) and see all of the dogs coming and also fill out an application). Please note that most of these dogs are not in Connecticut and will be arriving the day prior so it is most likely not possible for you to meet them prior to the event.
If you are a first time dog owner we may require a home visit prior to adoption.
If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.
All the residents in the household must come to the event along with any dog in your home for a meet and greet with our trainers.
Per the request of the rescues we may limit adoptions to only Connecticut homes due to the distance and support we give them. This again is strictly the rescues decision and hope you will honor that.
We also require a follow up visit with all families within a couple of months after the adoption.
Since we know there are many questions, please realize we will answer questions of those who have filled out an application first.
Adoption Fee is no more than $385. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated to age and also micrcochipped.
If you have additional questions about our dogs feel free to contact us. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we are very busy with pre-screening our applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
