Panya's Story...
FOR ADOPTION: PANYA is a young, mid-sized, female husky cross. She is a fun, active dog with a medium to high energy level.
This is a dog that will accompany you on any outdoor activity from hiking, camping, and fishing, to jogging, cycling, and skiing. She will love it all. When Panya isn't busy doing things, she will happily find a quiet place to rest.
Panya loves other dogs and is very playful. We think she would be happiest in a home with another playful young dog. This girl is sweet and gentle with all people and very comfortable around small children. Cats are a different story. Panya has a high prey drive and will not be placed in a home where she will have regular contact with cats. Her high prey drive also means that it will take a fair amount of time and work before Panya will be able to be a reliable off leash dog. She is a very submissive and eager dog though, and we feel she will very quickly catch on to most training styles and will be a fun dog to work with.
If you have a fun active lifestyle and are looking for a partner in crime Panya could be just what you're looking for. Apply at for a chance to meet this wonderful girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Panya, a Smithers Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Smithers, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Smithers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithers paves the way for another one to be saved.
