My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foxy is currently being fostered in Connecticut.

A little information about Foxy...

Hi! My name is Foxy. I am a Foxy a 10 lb Pom, approximately 10 yr YOUNG. My Foster Mom say’s, “ Foxy is full of life and joy. She was adopted out at a local animal control by a family who dumped her a week later, stating she had a UTI. Rescue took her in, and found that her UTI was actually Pylometra (infected uterus-a life threatening condition), she had black rotten teeth, and was on the verge of death. Foxy had dental surgery and a spay and now she is better than new. Her lab work indicates she is in perfect health. Foxy loves to be held and will bounce along next to her human friends wherever they may be. She is most certainly a lap dog and enjoys the company of other dogs and cats. Her grin never stops and she is as wonderful as they come.” So in a recap, I enjoy cats and dogs, humans and I’m happy. What else is there to know. If you would like to meet me, please go to http://www.homewardboundct.org/want-to-adopt-a-dog/ and fill out an application . . . I'll be waiting!

If you are interested in this dog or any of our dogs please go to www.homewardboundct.org (copy and paste in browser window) and see all of the dogs coming and also fill out an application).

If you are a first time dog owner we may require a home visit prior to adoption.

If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.

All the residents in the household must come to the event along with any dog in your home for a meet and greet with our trainers.

Per the request of the rescues we may limit adoptions to only Connecticut homes due to the distance and support we give them. This again is strictly the rescues decision and hope you will honor that.

We also require a follow up visit with all families within a couple of months after the adoption.

Since we know there are many questions, please realize we will answer questions of those who have filled out an application first.

Adoption Fee is no more than $385. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated to age and also micrcochipped.

If you have additional questions about our dogs feel free to contact us. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we are very busy with pre-screening our applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
