Sweet Sandy's Story...
Sweet Sandy is a beautiful one year old Black Tiger Tabby with large eyes, big ears and lots of white whiskers. She was found in front of a hotel (trying to check in and order room service, no doubt) with her two babies. Just a good Mom trying to find food and shelter for her babies… Sweet Sandy is very social, loves to be picked up and held and is calm and laid back. She is good with both cats and dogs and is looking to be someone's companion and best buddy. A cat that has taken such great care of her babies will definitely take good care of you! If you are offering love and 'room service,' she's there!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Sandy, a Sherman Oaks Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
