We think Newman is one handsome fellow, but he did not start out that way. When he first came to our rescue, he was filthy and painfully matted, but after a day at the doggie spa, he has a whole new leash on life! Newman is a 2 year old, 15 pound, Bichon mix. Newman can be slightly fearful when meeting new people, but with a pocket full of treats and a little time, Newman will be well on his way to becoming your new best friend. He is crate trained in his foster home and quickly getting the hang of his new potty routine. He's a playful guy and gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He's also got a bit of an explorer in him, and will need a home and yard that is secure and escape proof, with supervised outdoor time. Newman is very smart and also food motivated, making him quick to learn new commands. He is working with a trainer to help him become more comfortable with new people and situations, and will need continued training from his new adopted family. We think Newman would be best suited for a home without children, and with a parent or two that have a little time to devote to him during the day.
Our adoption fee for Newman is $300 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines, professional grooming, treatment for fleas and worms and best of all, lots of love and socialization in his foster home.
