Dawn (Sookie's Kitten)'s Story...
"Dawn" is a cute female kitten who arrived at the HSOV on June 23, 2016 along with her mother (Sookie) and his siblings (Alcide, Lafayette, Sam, and Tara) after they were found in the Lower Salem Ohio area. The kittens were estimated to be 2-months old at that time. Momma "Sookie" has raised her babies to be happy playful youngsters and made the best of a bad situation being in a small cage instead of a proper home. "Dawn" has a brown tabby short smooth coat with a tiny patch of white on her chest, long tail, and a beautiful kitten face with wondrous expressions :) This little princess has a lovable, playful personality and is a pushover for ttiny toy balls and anything with feathers :) She loves to romp/play with her brothers/sisters. "Dawn"was given vaccinations and wormer on June 23, 2016. She was spayed on October 5, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. "Dawn" weighed 5.1 lbs. on that date. NOTE: "Dawn" and her siblings are currently at the WeLovPets Store, Lafayette Plaza, Marietta Ohio where they are available for adoption through the HSOV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dawn (Sookie's Kitten), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
