Facts about Misty Blue

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray, Blue Or Silver Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: P2464
  • Hair: Short
Misty Blue is a petite beautiful Russian Blue Mix. She is sweet and gentle despite her rough start in life. Misty had been living in the Brooklyn streets since she was a kitten; in a neighborhood where people would throw things at her as she tried to get some food. Luckily, a Good Samaritan started feeding her and showed her some kindness. She said Misty would respond with head butts and soft purrs. While still a kitten herself, Misty got pregnant, this woman took her in and helped get her kittens adopted while keeping one for herself. Unfortunately, one of the woman's cats would terrorize Misty, so once again, she found herself on the street, battling the winter months alone again. This woman told us that Misty would scratch on her door to get back in, wanting to get into the safe home, however, due to her current cat she could not always let her in.

When Anjellicle Cats heard about this sweet girl and saw videos of how sweet she was we stepped up to try and give her the life she deserved. We brought Misty to our vet where she was deemed extremely healthy. As a matter of fact, the vet said he would never have guessed Misty lived on the streets as her demeanor is so gentle and her coat is so beautiful. When Misty looks at you with her beautiful green eyes and sweet little meow she makes your heart melt. Do you have a place in your home and your heart for this girl who so deserves a warm loving home? Misty was born around 9/18/15.

About Anjellicle Cats Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer,
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a member
of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with
the New York Animal Care & Control (ACC). For over ten years, this Hell's Kitchen shelter has been a lifeline
for abandoned, stray, and neglected cats and kittens.
In addition, we work closely with the ACC to pull out
those who are in danger of being euthanized due to
overcrowding. Each one is welcomed with kindness and medical attention, with the goal of placement into a permanent, loving home.

Well-known within the Broadway community, we have been featured on Fox 5 Morning Show, New York 1 Television and in Time Out magazine. We always enjoy meeting new volunteers and people who share our mission -- to compassionately rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...

If you've found the cat of your dreams and wish to begin the adoption process, you only need to call or email Anjellicle Cats Rescue and arrange to meet a representative at Spoiled Brats, 340 W. 49th St.. Adoptions are done by appointment although there is usually someone on site every evening from 6 - 8pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Once you've filled out an application, someone will go through an adoption package with you with updated information on cat care. We require a donation of $125 for one cat or $225 for two. The kitten or cat will then be personally delivered to their new home.

All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated with FVRCP (3 in 1) and spayed or neutered. We believe it is much kinder to adopt kittens with another kitten or cat unless there is already a cat in their new household.
