Cookie's Story...
Cookie is looking for her forever home!
Cookie is a wonderful 1 year old terrier mix. She came to us very pregnant. Cookie raised her 4 pups wonderfully and now it is time for her to find a forever home of her own. Cookie is good with kids, other dogs and cats. Cookie does like to play with her kitty friends so she would need cats that are dog savvy or that also enjoy playing with dogs! Cookie is house broken. She enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. She is a small girl, weighing in at only 15 pounds.
If you have room in your home and heart for Cookie please fill out an application at www.because4paws.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a New Milford Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
