Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID
Meet Nina, a 4-year-old Terrier mix! This sweet, goofy and totally affectionate girl had a bit of a tough start to her young life, but if we had to describe her in just three words they would be: HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!
Did we mention HAPPY?
Nina can be shy in new situations and with new people, once she trusts you and is comfortable in a place (her home) she is full of fun and energy; she is eager to learn new things and please her person! She is a dream on a leash, loves car rides and thinks mingling with all of her little dog buddies is just about the most fun a girl can have next to doing the zoomies she’s become known for!
She’s no couch potato, this girl…so it’s important for Nina to find a companion who will keep her mentally and physically stimulated and most of all, someone who is willing to work on basic manners and continuing socialization to help boost her confidence in new situations and with new people.
Nina loves other small dogs and would thrive in a household that has a fun loving confident little dog for her to play with. She has also met a couple of cats and was interested; we think she would be fine with a dog savvy cat as long as you make sure she realizes cats aren’t to be chased. And while she loves, loves, loves her people, she would not do well in a household with young kids (so 16+ only please), or a lot of overwhelming activity. We think that Nina would do best in an experienced dog home with someone (or a couple of someone’s) who want a loving girl who is a ton of fun, yet understand that because of her sensitivity and a few Nina-centric idiosyncrasies, kindness and patience will be your most important tools in winning over her very large heart.
Nina is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and she has the biggest bladder this side of the Mississippi.
