My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good With Kids: Older kids
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands: Yes
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate to High

Arrival story: Larry was picked up as a stray by Detroit Animal Care and Control and was suffering from a condition called Entropion, where his lower eyelids were inverted and were constantly scratching his eyes. We fell in love with him the second we met him and knew we had to bring him into our group! He’s since had surgery to fix his eyes and is so happy to finally be able to see the world clearly!

Approximate age / Weight: Approx. 1 years / 65 lbs.

Personality: Larry is such a friendly and fun-loving guy, who loves to be around people! He passed basic training with flying colors and has perfected “sit” when waiting for treats. He's doing a great job with his puppy manners, and knows “sit”, “down” and “stand” and is working on “stay” and “focus”. Good boy, Larry!

He's an active and happy guy, who enjoys romping around the yard, playing fetching, car rides, and walks. Larry is both house and crate-trained and does well when walking on a leash. He is a great boy, and although he loves his foster mom and dad, he can't wait to start his new life with a family to call his very own!

Forever home: Larry is seeking an active family who will provide this big love bug with lots of daily walks and playtime. Although he does not currently live with children, Larry would do best with older children because of his energy level. He would also enjoy the companionship of a canine pal to play with and to keep him company during the day . A fence-in yard would be be best. No electric fences, please.
