Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brave. That is the word I have been hearing a lot around my foster home. Foster mom keeps telling me how brave I am. Brave for when I was living out on the streets on my own. Brave because I had puppies and was separated from them. Brave for being in a shelter with my time almost up. Brave because I traveled from Ohio to Michigan, to a new home with new people and dogs, and despite everything that has happened in such a little time I have been brave and willing to let people love me and me love them back. Though I’m still shy I love being petted and just being near people. I’m learning what toys are but still a little jumpy around them when foster mom & dad try to get me to play with them. I want to be around people all of the time and I do tend to get separation anxiety even when I’m outside because I’m still learning that people do come back to take care of you. Now foster mom would like to say a few things.
From foster mom: Miley is a small little beagle/basset mix (yes, a bagel) and has been such a joy since she has come into our home. As mentioned she is still a little jumpy but learning to trust more and more each day. Miley will do fine in a home by herself or with another dog. She is housebroken and really doesn’t chew as long as we leave nothing on the floor for her to chew on (shoes, socks, etc). And she is all beagle when it comes to sniffing out what is in the garbage. Miley is going to make a wonderful family pet but should go to a home that is dog-experienced because of her shyness.
If you think Miley is the right beagle girl for you please contact the wonderful people at BREW. Thanks for stopping by and checking her out.
