This stunningly gorgeous boy is looking for a forever home. He was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter after being found running loose. Unbelievably, no one came to take him home so a FFAR volunteer who loves the breed rescued him and promised to find him a home that understands that dogs are forever family members.

Blake is a young boy. He's super affectionate and loves attention. He absolutely loves playing with the fosters other dogs and would probably be happiest with another dog although if given enough attention would do fine as an only dog. He totally ignores the fosters kitties. He's well behaved and knows sit and down although the stay command is not his favorite.

We're working on housebreaking and he's doing okay but still needs some work. He's a young dog but he's learning quickly.

Blake is going to be a very large Aussie and has a lot of fur. He will need a family willing to commit to his continued training and also willing to brush him on a regular basis.

Please be familiar with this breed before applying for him. Blake is uncomfortable in new situations but adapts quickly once he is familiar with the environment. He's a friendly, fun loving boy looking for a home with the same qualities.

Blake's foster lives in the 75074 zip code and potential adopters must live within a 15-20 mile range of this zip code to be considered.
Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit and look under HOW TO HELP. Furry Friends provides veterinary care - you provide the home and love!.

We also need Volunteers for Adoption Events at Petsmart and Cage Cleaners.

Anyone interested in our dogs must be over 21. We are only able to adopt to homes within a reasonable driving distance of the dog's foster home and please be prepared for a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not adopt on first-come-first-served basis, we want to make sure the dog is right for the family and vice versa based on what we know about the dog's personality, habits and behaviors. Our adoption fee for dogs is $175. You can complete an online adoption application on our website we will get back with you asap.

About Furry Friends Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Furry Friends Animal Rescue

We are a new group started in 2013 by a large group of experienced rescuers - we wanted to be part of an ethical rescue group which would allow us to help homeless cats and dogs in the North Texas area. We value all the experience and knowledge brought to this group by the volunteers so the group is member based. We welcome new volunteers and fosters, both experienced or new to rescue. You can contact us by email or through our website - we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoption Counselors will be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday.

A selection of the FFAR dogs will be at Frisco Petsmart #2376 (DNT/Eldorado) on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of the month from usually 11 am - 4 p.m.
Adoption Counselors will be in attendance during that time.

If you are interested in meeting any of our cats or dogs, just send us a an email or fill out an Adoption Application on our website. The Adoption Application is not a commitment just a means of introduction. We look forward to hearing from you!

Our Adoption Process...

We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis - it is our goal to find the right home for the cat or dog as well ensuring that the cat or dog is the right match for it's new family. A win/win situation.
For dogs, we require an application, home visit for approved application, and home trial period to ensure that it's a good fit for the dog and the family.
For cats, we require an application, but do allow same-day adoptions. Our goal is to find our fosters a "forever" home.
Our Adoption Fees are $140 for cats and $175 for dogs.

All our cats and dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption - this includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, feline leukemia/aids testing, heartworm tests, deworming, spay or neuter, microchips and other medical treatment as required.

You can fill out an Adoption Application online on our website.
