My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ - Due to the nature of our adoption process, this foster is only able to consider forever families within 30 miles of zip code 75082. A vet reference and trial adoption will be done before the adoption is finalized. Thank you for your understanding.***

This stunningly gorgeous boy is looking for a forever home. He was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter after being found running loose. Unbelievably, no one came to take him home so a FFAR volunteer who loves the breed rescued him and promised to find him a home that understands that dogs are forever family members. Blake is a young boy. He's super affectionate and loves attention. He absolutely loves playing with the fosters other dogs and would probably be happiest with another dog although if given enough attention would do fine as an only dog. He totally ignores the fosters kitties. He's well behaved and knows sit and down although the stay command is not his favorite. He is house-broken and knows to use the doggy door to go potty outside. Blake will be a large standard Aussie and he will need a family willing to commit to his continued training and also willing to brush him on a regular basis. Please be familiar with this breed before applying for him. Blake is uncomfortable in new situations but adapts quickly once he is familiar with the environment. He's a friendly, fun loving boy looking for a home with the same qualities. Blake's foster lives in the 75082 zip code and potential adopters must live within a 30 mile range of this zip code to be considered.

Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.FurryFriendsAnimalRescue.org and look under HOW TO HELP. Furry Friends provides veterinary care - you provide the home and love!.

We also need Volunteers for Adoption Events at Petsmart and Cage Cleaners.

Anyone interested in our dogs must be over 21. We are only able to adopt to homes within a reasonable driving distance of the dog's foster home and please be prepared for a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not adopt on first-come-first-served basis, we want to make sure the dog is right for the family and vice versa based on what we know about the dog's personality, habits and behaviors. Our adoption fee for dogs is $175. You can complete an online adoption application on our website http://www.furryfriendsanimalrescue.org- we will get back with you asap.
