Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Honey was left at a rural animal control pregnant after her human mom had suffered some health issues. She was a great mom and looked after her pups much longer than she needed to. All of Honey’s babies have made it to their Hero Families, now it is time for Honey to find a family of her own.
Honey is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix and weighs 60 lbs. Intelligence is at the top of her personality traits. She knows basic words (sit, down, shake, dinner, breakfast), but she also pays close attention to her humans and listens to every word they say. Honey is very playful and active. She loves to play fetch and tug-a-rope. She would make a great running partner with a little leash work. Honey is loyal and doesn’t stray too far from her humans, so her adopter should be ready to have a shadow! Honey has been hanging out with dogs of all sizes from a 9 lb. female to a 55 lb. male in her Hero Foster home, and has done fine with all. Honey doesn’t have any known medical issues. She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. We do not have a shelter, and are a foster-home based organization. Other than meeting our babies at events, we do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org, under the Be A Hero heading.
