My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweetpea and Poppy are eight-years-old. Their breed is Yorkie / Pomeranian. This brother and sister duo have been together since birth. They are a true bonded pair and can not be separated. The two sleep end to end in the same bed as if they were bookends. They travel from room to room together and if by chance they become separated, they will quickly find each other. Both are gentle and sweet. Each weighs just under 10 pounds. They are crate trained, and house trained. The two crave predictability and routine.

Sweetpea and Poppy are seeking a retirement home. The duo loves attention. Sweetpea is a little girl that loves to snuggle. Poppy enjoys the company of his humans but also needs his alone time. Although they love the attention of children, they would prefer to be the only babies in the home full time.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
