Friskie's Story...
Friskie is a sleek soft velveteen kitten. She has the cool colors of a pastel tortoiseshell. She was born the first week of June, 2016, & is still a very playful, active kitty. She loves toys of any kind & romping with other kittens. She also loves being cuddled & held & Friskie rewards those cuddles with a loud purr. She is curious about adult cats, afraid of dogs, & playful with children. She is current on vaccines appropriate for her age & will be spayed soon when she is a larger. She looks like she will be a petite cat. She has been dewormed & tested for Feline Leukemia & FIV. Friskie would be a fun & loving addition to any family. To hear more about her, call 540/586-6100 or go to bhsva.org to complete an Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Friskie, a Bedford Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
