My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of these cats. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of these cats. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this. Noahie & Tobey are not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with the Marin Humane Society in Novato, CA.

Noahie
Born April 1, 2004, Male, Purebred, Seal Point Siamese
MUST be adopted with his brother, Tobey

Just look at this sweet, loving, handsome boy. He and his bonded brother Noahie are looking for a true forever home. You may ask yourself, why are they up for adoption? Who would give up such magnificent cats? Sadly, they were owner surrendered because of a move, not because they are sick or have any behavioral issues.

We all know it is never easy to adopt out an older kitty, let alone two. We know that most people want a young cat (or two), preferably kittens. However, as anyone who has ever opened a heart and home and adopted a senior kitty can attest to, no matter how long or how short of a life we can offer these special creatures, every minute you get to spend with them is a blessing to be treasured.
The little bit of information gleaned from the surrender paperwork suggests that Noahie is protective of his brother and a little bolder than his brother. So I guess that infers that Tobey is the gentler of the two. Other than that, nothing else was revealed. However, it is clear that these two brothers love each other. They have been together since they were kittens, so they really need to be adopted together.

Can you imagine what they must be going through right now? They have been living with the same family for 12 years and all of a sudden they find themselves at a shelter, surrounded by strangers in a strange environment. At least, they have each other. From a human’s perspective, I can only assume that it gives them solace and comfort. So let’s not break that special bond they have with each other. Let’s keep them together and find them a loving home where they can live out the rest of their days in harmony with each other and their human family.

They are easy to handle boys. Their shelter coordinator simply states, “Love love love these boys.” That statement speaks volumes.

Being the lucky mom of a senior Siamese boy myself, I imagine that in no time they will be very affectionate and loving with their new humans. There is a reason why this breed is so popular. Siamese are loved and treasured for their affectionate, demonstrative, and intelligent personalities. You can see that both Noahie and Tobey embody all of these traits just by looking at their sweet, intelligent faces.

My personal hope is that someone will read their bios, will open a heart and home to these precious boys, and will give them the same chance I gave my senior boy, a forever home where they will be treasured and cherished…as is the birthright of every kitty.

The shelter will make sure that they will come to you fully vetted and with sparkly clean teeth (or perhaps a couple of missing teeth in case they need extractions).

Please note that Noahie & Tobey are not with Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue. We are courtesy posting them for the Marin Humane Society in Novato, CA.
