Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID
Boomer is a 2 year old who is a well we don’t really know what breeds he is; your guess is good and ours. After spending time with him we’d have to say maybe a Plott Hound with a little touch of Border Collie, a dash of Lab and somewhere way back in history a tiny bit of Pit Bull. But whatever breeds you want to call him; we just call him handsome.
Boomer is one of the sweetest boys you will ever meet; he is calm, easy going and just an all-around nice boy. He is a no-drama boy with a wide grin, easy going manner and cheerful disposition. He is great with most everyone he meets and would prefer to be with his people more than anything else; he won’t leave your side. He can get nervous around small kids (he’s never lived with any) so no kids under 8 please.
He is a medium energy level dog who will need daily walks to help manage his weight (he’s a bit on the heavy side). He walks well on lead he will go nose down when he catches a scent; he loves to follow a scent and will do so to distraction so no off leash for this boy.
Boomer is house and dog door trained, not crate trained but has not needed one while he has been with us. He knows to stay off the furniture/bed if you want him to. Boomer also knows the basics and will come when called and sit on command. He is a young boy so the sky is the limit on what he can learn; he is eager to please so a puppy class would be a lot of fun for him.
Good with most dogs he meets, but will not put up with little dogs that get in his face. He would do well with another dog over 25 lbs that he can hang out with. We have no idea how he is with cats; but would guess that if they are dog savvy he could learn to live with them.
The perfect home for Boomer would be one that likes to go out and about (he likes car rides) and will take him with them. A family where he can be a part of the action and with his people would be ideal.
Boomer is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped.
