Congrats to Emma & Josh on a adopting this sweet dog.
Bonnie is approximately 2 years old. This silly playful girl has a beautiful black and tan coat so we guess that she is a Black & tan Coonhound mix, mayb Dobe and smaller breed or maybe several other breeds, just a sweet dog with everyone she meets. Bonnie is very loving & enjoys giving kisses. She has her energy times and will run around and would love someone to play with her and take long walks with her so she can use up the energy she has. Hounds are smart and like to smell, play and use their brains. She loves toys and playing fetch, but doesn't always give it back,. She was found in a small town in S. IN and was so so skinny when she was found, she still needs to gain 5-7 lbs approx. Being from a small town she is still adjusting to all the new sounds and things of the suburbs of Chicago IL, and doing quite well . She is building confidence in her foster home and will need a patient human to continue to help her. Her foster mom is working on some basic commands with her and it is helping her confidence. She is doing great with housetraining and only 2 accidents over the last few weeks, starting to go to door to go out or whining to let foster mom know she has to go out to potty. We don't think she got to live in a house in her former home. She is dogs friendly, wants to play with every dog, she was at a doggie daycare in IN and hung out with many dogs all day. She likes kids, we are recommending kids over 8 yrs old so she won't knock them over when she runs and plays. She doesn't appear to have a mean bone in her body. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, stool negative, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. Bonnie currently weighs about 47-49 pounds.
