Colorful Callieco

Callieco is only 1.5 years old! A sweet, precious little Maltese mix. Best we can figure is she is Maltese/Poodle/Silkie Terrier. She has long poodle legs, a curving tail and the texture of her coat is like a Silkie. Whatever the mix is, the result is adorable...look at that face! Callieco came into a shelter so infested with fleas and so anemic that she required a blood transfusion to survive. She's still pretty skinny but is beginning to put on weight. Right now she is 7.8 pounds and should probably weigh around 9. She appears to be pee pad trained. She's still a little timid but warms up to people quickly. And she plays well with other dogs. Callieco sleeps all night in her bed. This angel only wants to please. She's fattening up in Chattanooga...don't wait too long to apply for this sweet doll!

She is currently being fostered in Chattanooga, TN.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callieco*Adopted, a Chattanooga Maltese/Toy Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Toy Poodle for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Maltese/Toy Poodle dog from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Toy Poodle breeders who help with Maltese/Toy Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
