Hello! My name is Lenny and I REALLY need to find my new home! My 6 beagle friends and I were rescued by Penny Angels Beagle Rescue in Oct. 2016. We were basically fed and taken care of by our owner, but we spent our days in rabbit hutches and didn’t get much time for socialization. We were used as hunting dogs in the past, but our days of hunting AND living outside are behind us. All of the beagles that were rescued with me have found new homes, and I am the only one left. Do you have room for me?
I am a handsome beagle boy, approx. 4-5 yrs. old, and I weigh about 34 lbs. I am in good condition, especially considering my previous living situation. I get along fine with people and I love other dogs! I would do best in a home with another dog since I like to play with them. I really like playing with toys, too! I am doing well in Rescue and getting used to all of the changes around me. I even use the doggie door to go potty in the yard! I never knew what it was like to live in a house because I spent all my time outside. Now that I am an ‘inside’ dog, life is good, but I just need a new home to complete it! I am still a little shy at times, especially when I am at Petsmart on Saturdays, but I am a totally different dog when I get home to Rescue. Maybe it is because it is a different environment for me. If you could just look past my initial shyness, you would see a happy & playful dog! If you are looking to adopt another dog AND you have a doggie friend for me to play with, I think that we would be a good fit for each other!
