Important Note

Hardy is best friends with Laurel. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Hardy was born in a shelter and lived in a cage for the first 10 weeks of his life with his sister Laurel. Despite their rough start they are the sweetest kittens who love people. When you look at them they start purring. The are gentle and love to play together. They are never far from each other. They love to be held. They are very, very bonded and will have to find their forever home together. Hardy is much bigger than his sister and will probably be a big boy when he grows up. If you are interested in meeting Hardy please call 224-306-4716.

About Illinois Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of individuals, groups, volunteers, workers, veterinarians, independent rescuers, humane investigators, transporters, a coalition of humane societies, shelters, humane organizations, shelters, not-for profit organizations, pounds, well... Just regular people, scattered throughout the state of Illinois and beyond. We strive for the rescue and humane care and treatment of the animals in our community, state and throughout our country. Together we are savings over 7,000 lives yearly.

Illinois Animal Rescue, Inc. is 501(c)(3), not for profit and no-kill.

Our goals are to ensure that every animal is treated with the respect that they deserve; to educate our communities on the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to solve the pet overpopulation problem; the humane treatment and care of all animals and the rescue and transportation of the many animals that are being put to death in our communities every day, due to no fault of their own.

We are so very appreciative of your support, and will continue to grow our network bigger and better in 2011. In the coming year, we will continue our goal to rescue every single animal in Illinois, gain exposure for the pounds in need and develop good relationships with only the best rescues that meet our criteria.
