My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Missy and I am 7 years old. Would like a white, fluffy dog you can cuddle with? A dog that makes you laugh and that is sweet like chocolate pie? Well, that’s me! My foster Mom thinks I’m the best foster dog that she’s ever had so ssshh, don’t tell the other foster pups she’s had or they might get jealous. But shucks, I am cute so maybe it’s true. I’m so sweet natured that when you meet me you know it’s true. I get along with everyone. You would wonder why I was a stray which is why I am in a foster home. One day I got picked up by Animal Control and they took me to this place called a kill shelter – yikes! But the nice people of IAR saw my picture and honestly I didn’t look pretty because I was dirty and my hair (gasp) needed a haircut but after my visit to the vet my foster Mom took me to the doggie beauty parlor and now I look so pretty. In my foster home there are 2 other dogs and I like to play with them. They are much bigger than me and with my measly 11 lbs - I keep up. When I’m done playing I get to hang out with my foster family. I snooze on a chair or watch the Cubbies I would root for them but I fall asleep from all the playing. I am not food aggressive and I’m house trained. No need for a crate for me. I walk well on my leash and well, I’m just a great gal to have around. So you ready to meet me? We can cuddle and become BF’s. I sure wish I could have a family that would love me and take good care of me. I don’t want to be a stray again. It was scary being alone on the road. Sure hope you call my foster Mom for our date. Xoxo, Missy
