My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What is your name?

Hi! My name is Mora!

How old are you?

I am around 7 months old.

What do you look like?

I am about 32 lbs. and still growing! My vet thinks I may reach 40 lbs. by the time I’m fully grown! I’m told that I’m a blue nose pit and I have a cute little white “t” on my chest. My coat is super soft too!

What do you like to eat?

My foster moms feed me Natural Balance Wild Pursuit. It’s full of good protein to help me grow big and strong and it makes my coat super shiny and soft!

What kind of personality do you have?

I am a loving and playful pit bull. I enjoy playing in the backyard and I LOVE to play ball! If you throw it I’ll get it, but I’m still learning to bring it back. I’m super smart, though, so with some more training I think I could be the best fetch player EVER!

Describe your perfect day:

Pretty much anytime I can play with toys, I’m happy. I'm learning how to walk on a leash but I love to go for walks and runs with my foster moms! I’m getting better though and think I’ll be a good running companion! Since I still have some puppy energy, I really like running and playing in the backyard with my 2 human foster sisters too!

What is your favorite toy?

I like all toys. Every. Single. One. I really like my elk antler to chew on and I love big, un-stuffed toys with squeakers! I don’t even tear them up. I just throw them around.

Do you know any tricks?

I have mastered “sit” and “down”! Like I said, I’m super smart. I’m working on “stay” right now and I almost always come when I’m called. I’m also a BOSS at potty training. I never potty inside and always let my moms know when I need to go outside by hanging out at the door.

What scares you?

When I first arrived at my foster home, I wasn’t sure about the hair dryer...or the iron....or the vacuum. I have gotten better and I’m much less concerned with them now. I’m still not a fan of the lawn mower, but I’m sure I’ll work that out too with time.

Do you like cats?

There is a cat at my foster home and I like her just fine. I am still curious about her whereabouts at times but I’m realizing that she just wants to be left alone, so I try to give her that space. Sometimes, she lets me sniff and lick her face….sometimes.

Do you have any doggie best friends?

My big foster sister, Mavis, is my very best friend! She’s an English Setter and very patient with me as I learn my play manners. We play tug with our toys and enjoy when we both get to go on walks together. She has taught me so much!

If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love a forever home with a fenced backyard so I could run and play with my toys!

How is your health?

My health is great! I didn’t even have worms or skin problems when my foster mom rescued me! I had a stuffy nose, but it’s getting better with some antibiotics and Benadryl. I have regular check-up’s with the best vet ever, Dr. Johnson. She thinks I’m pretty great.

Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion?

I live with my 2 foster moms and their tiny humans (ages 10 and 12), my bestie, Mavis, who is a 6 year old English Setter and a 12 year old Devon Rex cat, Romey.

Where do you hang out when you are home alone?

When my humans are gone, I always hang out in my kennel. It’s so nice and comfy in there and it makes me feel safe. It also keeps me out of trouble since I’m still a curious puppy.

Where do you sleep?

I sleep in my kennel and never make a peep! I sleep all night long and wake up rested and ready for my day!

What do you love about your foster family?

My foster family has been really patient with me while I’ve learned to live in a house setting. They give me so much love and attention and I love cuddling with them any chance I get!

What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into the welcoming arms of your foster parents?

I was brought to Animal Control as a stray, so they didn’t know much about my past. I’m just grateful someone got me off of the streets and that Even Chance rescued me! I’m a really great girl and I can’t wait to find my perfect forever home!

Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as they grow up. Our agency reserves the right to deny acceptance of any dog to an owner who we feel the lifestyle does not match that of the dog. We are in no way judging you or your lifestyle; we simply want to put our dogs in the best living situation possible. We take very seriously the decision we make when it comes to placing one of our dogs in a forever home. If I sound like the perfect pit bull for you and your family and you are interested in giving me a forever home, do not hesitate! Please fill out an application here and my foster family will contact you to schedule an in-person meet and greet. We look forward to meeting any and all interested applicants.
