My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"JAY" 8 year old Lab Mix.

ADOPTION FEE: $250 (Partially funded)

JAY is a very laid back, soulful fellow. JAY was found lying next to his deceased mom and then landed up in a SC shelter along with his sibling DIXIE. JAY is a sensitive guy who seems to recognize quite easily how someone is feeling and will come up to you and rest his head on your lap...or give you a gentle "paw" to let you know he is there and everything is okay. He is sweet tempered and will do what you ask of him. JAY loves his walks and loves car rides and will hop in the car with no hesitation. He likes the company of other dogs and enjoys gentle play with them. He loves his baths and will let you just lather him with soap and love. JAY was well loved and seems to prefer "people" food. No doubt his previous owner fed him lots of table scraps... (We are working on transitioning him to a mix of quality dog food with some cooked chicken and rice.
JAY loves children...heck... this boy has not met anyone he doesn't love since we have had him. He loves being outdoors and soaking up the sun and is quite content with whatever comes his way. He would be a great family dog or would also be happy being someones only dog...or a wonderful companion for a senior. It really doesn't get much better than this folks.

Housetrained, crate trained and responds to sit and come.
