Susie's Story...
"Susie" is a beautiful adult female Labrador Retriever/Hound mix who was surrendered by her owner on October 5, 2016 along with her five companions who shared her previous home. "Susie" has a black short smooth coat with a small patch of white on her chest, white toes, a long tail, and a pretty face with gray shading on her muzzle. She has a sweet, easygoing personality and was 'camera shy' about having her face photographed for some reason. "Susie" appears to have given birth to several puppies in her lifetime. She currently weighs 38 lbs. and isn't a very large girl when you see her in person. "Susie" is currently in a wonderful foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Susie, a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
