Wally's Story...
Hey there, everyone! My name is ChaCha, but all my friends call me Wally. I am, by far, the most handsome and stunning boy ever. I am only 6 months old and I am looking for a home with other kitties. I was born May 17, 2016. I am a bit shy when meeting strangers, but once I get to know you, I am sweet and affectionate. I would do best in a home with another social, outgoing and friendly kitty who can show me around and help introduce me to people. If you do not have other pets you can always adopt me with my foster brother Leonardo, who is a crazy and playful kitten. Depending on the other kitties in my home, my personality can vary a little. When I am around adult kitties, I am snuggly and affectionate, grooming them and enjoying their company as I follow them around the house. If they are soaking up attention from humans, I come along and do the same. However, when I am with Leonardo, him and I do nothing but wrestle and play together all day long until we're exhausted! I also love to chase toy mice and also water bottle caps. If you have cat wands, I love those too ... anything I can hunt and chase after is my favorite kind of toy! If you’re looking for a young, playful kitty to brighten up your life and be an amazing companion to you and your current kitty or kitties, then I’m your guy! Adoption fee: $60. Adopt a pair: $90. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 60 days of free pet insurance.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wally, a Troy Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Troy, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
