Miss Sammy's Story...
Hi guys! My name is Sammy. I’m a sweet, gorgeous, baby girl who was born July 1, 2016. I would love to find myself a family to love for life. Being homeless stinks, but at least I have other kitties to play with in my foster care home while I wait for my forever home to find me. I am super loving, affectionate and playful. I enjoy lots of attention and when you start petting me, I quickly demand belly rubs. I also love other kitties and enjoy playing with other cats and kittens. I always use my litterbox like a good girl. I’m just the most wonderful little kitten. Please give me a chance to join your family! Adoption fee: $100. Adopt a pair: $150. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 60 days of free pet insurance.

Sunday, November 27: Adoption Event at PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills. From noon to 4 p.m. on the fourth Sunday each month, come meet adoptable cats and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Event dates for 2016: November 27 and December 18.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss Sammy, a Troy Russian Blue kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Troy, or seeking a Russian Blue kitten from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
