Higgins is a low-energy love bug. He is mild-mannered with a sweet temperament; a true gentleman. He enjoys playtime in the yard and nature walks. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves kids and has only shown curiosity with cats. Higgins will quietly lay by your feet while you work, but will let you know when it's time to be pet by looking at you with his big soulful eyes. Higgins is still a pup so needs some reminding what is okay to chew on; plenty of toys, treats & antlers keep him happy & occupied.
Higgins was born approximately March of 2016 and is a Beagle/Hound mix weighing in at 32 lbs but still may have some growing to do. Higgins was rescued as part of our "Clear the Shelter Campaign" when Dolly's Legacy rescued every animal from a rural Oklahoma shelter, all whom were slated to be killed.
Higgins is neutered, vaccinated for distemper/parvo, rabies & bordatella, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, tested heartworm negative, given Pro-Heart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative & dewormed. Adoption fee is $300. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled AFTER your application has been approved.
