Roscoe's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Roscoe's Story...
Roscoe is a very handsome Golden German Shepherd (possibly mixed with some Collie). He was adopted from the shelter 8 years ago as a pup and seems to have had a bit of a hard life. In spite of that, he is a well rounded dog, loves people and is eager to please. He still has good energy and likes to chase tennis balls and go on walks. Roscoe is thin (67 lbs.) and needs to put on some weight but some good food & a little TLC will take care of that. His hips (usually a concern in Shepherds his age) seem to be in good shape and he is currently showing no outward signs of any issues. This nice & friendly boy needs a new home with caring owners willing to give an older Shepherd the 2nd chance he deserves. PLEASE NOTE: We MUST have your completed Adoption Application on file BEFORE we arrange a meet & greet. MANDATORY Vet check and fenced yard required. No cats or children under 8 yrs old please. NO calls please, email only. We do not transport, all dogs MUST be picked up in person. Adoption Fee + License is $70.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a Inverness German Shepherd Dog/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Collie for sale in Inverness, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Collie dog from a breeder in Inverness.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Inverness already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Inverness breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Collie breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Inverness paves the way for another one to be saved.
