Hello. My name is Casey and I am an older beagle gal that was rescued from a shelter in South Carolina; my previous owner surrendered me because she said that she was now allergic to me. I know… it doesn’t make sense to me either. Anyway, I arrived in NJ on Oct 15 during Penny Angel Beagle Rescue’s Adoption Day event at Petsmart. I kept looking out the window, trying to figure out how I ended up at a shelter and then in a Rescue. I didn’t think that I would be homeless at this point in my life. The volunteers were so kind to me; they took me for walks and showed me lots of love. They told me that I would find another home soon, and that this time, it would be my forever home.

I am a very sweet girl… approx. 13 years old. I weigh about 40 lbs., but would be much happier with a few less pounds on my girlish figure. I walk well on a leash, so that would be a great way to keep me at a healthy weight. (Less food would help, too!) We could even motivate each other to stay healthy!

I get along fine with the other beagles in Rescue and am a laid back girl. In fact, not much seems to bother me, which is a big surprise considering my current situation. I do know that I will be happier once I meet my new family. Could your home be my forever home? I hope so!! Please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels if you are interested in adopting me. I will be at Petsmart on Saturday so that everyone can meet me. Please don’t pass me by just because I have lived a few extra years; older doggies deserve to be loved and taken care of, too! I will be patiently waiting to hear from my new mommy and/or daddy!

About Penny Angels Beagle Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Penny Angels Beagle Rescue is a non-profit organization whose mission is to safely rehome unwanted, abandoned, injured, senior or stray beagles. We are dedicated to taking in unwanted beagles from shelters or private homes. The dogs that come into our Rescue are examined by a veterinarian, tested for heartworms, brought up to date with their vaccines, and spayed or neutered. If they need special care, it is provided. All dogs are microchipped before being adopted.

If you are interested in adopting one of our beagles, please contact us directly so we can start the adoption process. We require both personal and vet references. We need to be able to verify that you are either a homeowner, or rent a property that allows you to have pets. Having a fenced yard is a plus! Any adoptions that do not work out must be brought back to our rescue.
