Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. My name is Casey and I am an older beagle gal that was rescued from a shelter in South Carolina; my previous owner surrendered me because she said that she was now allergic to me. I know… it doesn’t make sense to me either. Anyway, I arrived in NJ on Oct 15 during Penny Angel Beagle Rescue’s Adoption Day event at Petsmart. I kept looking out the window, trying to figure out how I ended up at a shelter and then in a Rescue. I didn’t think that I would be homeless at this point in my life. The volunteers were so kind to me; they took me for walks and showed me lots of love. They told me that I would find another home soon, and that this time, it would be my forever home.
I am a very sweet girl… approx. 13 years old. I weigh about 40 lbs., but would be much happier with a few less pounds on my girlish figure. I walk well on a leash, so that would be a great way to keep me at a healthy weight. (Less food would help, too!) We could even motivate each other to stay healthy!
I get along fine with the other beagles in Rescue and am a laid back girl. In fact, not much seems to bother me, which is a big surprise considering my current situation. I do know that I will be happier once I meet my new family. Could your home be my forever home? I hope so!! Please fill out an application and submit it to Penny Angels if you are interested in adopting me. I will be at Petsmart on Saturday so that everyone can meet me. Please don’t pass me by just because I have lived a few extra years; older doggies deserve to be loved and taken care of, too! I will be patiently waiting to hear from my new mommy and/or daddy!
