Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PENDING MEET AND GREET!
Joining Paddy's Paws rescue on Sunday, October 23rd. He will be neutered and up to date on vaccinations and wellness care prior to finding his new home. He is estimated to be 5 years old and is a little over 20 pounds.
Barnaby was a little lost fellow found in the Milwaukee area. His finder filed reports with area shelters, reported him to Lost Dogs of Wisconsin, promoted him online, took out ads, posted flyers, scanned for a microchip and searched diligently for his owner. Sadly, after weeks of waiting, no one reported this little fellow missing. Knowing she couldn't keep him forever, she called the local animal control again to see what could be done. He could be turned in there or surrendered to a shelter or rescue. Being such a lovely guy, she wanted him to go into a foster home while he awaited his new family.
Barnaby is not currently neutered, but will be on October 25th, and will need to receive vet clearance regarding his health prior to being adopted. His is in good shape now, after getting some great meals and love, and is well mannered, low bark, and is a very polite houseguest. He is good with other dogs, has not met cats yet and would do best with older children or adults.
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit and a meet and greet. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.
