Pixie's Story...
Pixie found a home with a doggie sibling and she is very happy being with the people too...one of them works from home!! 8/7/05 I sit and shake for treats...come and see me I will be happy to shake your hand. I am a year and a half old and was adopted a while back. Unfortunately my human couldn't take care of me anymore. The nice people at ARF are going to take me back and try to find me a new home with people who will love me forever. I sit very well for treats...I LOVE treats. Pixie was one of a litter of the sweetest most well behaved pups. She is about twenty pounds and black. She is being returned today 3/17/05 out of no fault of her own. Please call and ask about her if you are interested in a sweet small dog. This poor girl needs TLC to let her know it's not her fault she was given up. She is now living at the Arfanage Pixie was a star in the paper and now has a forever home!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Lafayette Border Collie/Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Bull Terrier for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Border Collie/Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Bull Terrier breeders who help with Border Collie/Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
