Payne's Info...

I am already neutered and up to date with shots.

Payne's Story...
Payne and his sister were rescued from the pound when they were tiny pups. Payne got neutered and his second sets of shots today 6/20/06. The vet seems to think he will only get to about 30-35 pounds...although he thinks he is a big dog already! He and his sister were very attached but are now in separate foster homes to prepare them to go into a forever home. Payne is very cautiously playful and loves people. He also loves to eat...all 6.2 pounds of him!! He is about 11-12 weeks old and is being kennel trained. He sleeps all night when given a play session and potty break before bedtime. For more info or to set up an appointment to meet him call the ARFline 337-332-4756.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Payne, a Lafayette Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
