Meet Maxine! She is a beautiful 5 year old Bullmastiff that knows no strangers. She is sweet with everyone both human and animal that she meets. Her foster mom says that she is the perfect family dog. She loves to get attention and hang out with her people. She currently lives with two young children under the age of 5 and a cat. She is very patient and calm with them. Maxine is current on her vaccines, spayed, heart worm positive and will need to continue heart worm treatment in her new home at no extra cost to her family. She is housetrained and perfecting basic obedience, crate training, and leash skills. She loves to go on walks, and can't contain her excitement, so she does pull a little bit on the leash. We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you’re interested in is a good match.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a “perfect placement” so we know that they will not be failed again.
