Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our girl PETUNIA has some good news! As of today (January 20, 2017), she is officially heartworm negative! That means her treatment was a success, and this girl is now ready to find her forever home.
When Petunia arrived at the shelter in September, the first thing everyone said when they saw her was, "She looks like PETEY from the Little Rascals!" So, that is how Petunia - AKA "Petey" - got her unusual name. :)
Although she is 2 years old, Petey acts very much like a playful, energetic puppy - she loves to run, play, jump, and even chew on the occasional shoe. ;) This girl is definitely enjoying life, now that she feels good!
Petey is about 2 years old, and she weighs 40 pounds. Petey needs a home without cats, and she must meet any resident dog(s). We recommend a home without small children, due to Petey's intense eating habits.
