Raegan's Story...
Hi my name is Raegan. I am a black Lab mix and I was born on August 25th – so that makes me about nine weeks old. I am cute, adorable and fun to watch. I have five sisters and two brothers. I am living in a foster home that is taking care of my siblings because a Hoarder had us originally; a total of 25 dogs on her property. I spend my days playing, sleeping and eating. Doing all the things a puppy is supposed to do. One day I will grow up to the size of a black Lab. I will need to be shown how to do all the things a puppy needs to learn: not to chew, basic commands and most important thing: potty training. But the one thing I know how to do … be cute! Come meet me and my siblings. Xoxo, Raegan.

Raegan’s foster home is in Johnsburg. Please visit our website at www.illinoisanimalrescue.org to view our adoption process and our adoption fees.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raegan, a Palatine Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
