Willow's Story...
Hey there! I’m Willow. I was recently rescued from the mean streets of Powhatan. I’m still learning what it means to be an indoor kitty, but so far it has been great! The other kitties in my foster home have been telling how great it is to have a forever home because you get your very own special humans to love, so I’m on the hunt for one of those!

I try to be modest, but I’m kind of awesome. I am absolutely adorable, just look at that picture. I’m also very affectionate. The best part about indoor life is all the toys. I go crazy for toys that I can swat around and chase like mice and balls. They are so much fun! I also love to talk. So, if you’re looking for an adorable ball of fluff to share some snuggles and chats with on these soon to be cold mornings, I’m your girl!

I’m ready for my next great adventure – becoming your new best friend – so hurry up and fill out an application already!

If you'd like to meet me, please email cats@henricohumane.org to setup a visit. Don't forget to tell them you want to meet Willow!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow, a Richmond Maine Coon kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Maine Coon kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
